even though i live in the suburbs, outside of the San Francisco, i love that i find myself in the city every weekend. its fun, exciting, relaxing and always a different experience every time you go. these were taken a couple of sundays ago in the downtown area. very cute and quaint and surprisingly quiet! which made it a great environment to take photos

santa barbara throw back

i lived in santa barbara in 2009 and i have to say it was the best experience i have ever had. it was spur of the moment, mixed feelings of nervousness and happiness and excitement. but after visiting sb again this past late april, i totally forgot how great the shopping is. you would think that since it is sb, all the shopping would be super expensive with designer boutiques and department stores. however, all up and down state street, you can find the cutest, affordable boutiques to shop at. ones that are very up to date on trends with reasonable prices for the average customer. 

so this past april, i came back to visit. walking up and down state street, getting re-aquainted with the familiar hang out locations and eating stops. i came across this store called "dear diary". i walked in and there was an amazing variety of fashion trends-everything from accessories to shoes to tops and bottoms. it was heaven or i would like to say "hitting the jackpot". i started looking at likable pieces and the price tags, which i would have to say made me really happy. the prices were greatly priced and not bad at all. i ended up walking out of there with more than a handful of pieces. and mind you, i did not plan on doing any shopping during the trip.

after shopping at dear diary, i looked across the way and there was another store called "the area". i decided to take a peek, and yet the store was smaller and with a bit different taste, it was also equally amazing containing lots of going out night wear and now trendy pieces. i ended up walking out with sweetheart white dress, distressed black skull sweater and a small necklace. what i also loved about this store was how friendly the girls were that worked in the store. i made small conversations with each employee that was there and that made me feel right at home and comfortable to shop.

after walking out of both stores, it made me jealous that i did not have one of these store closer to me at home. i will definitely have to visit these stores every time i make a drive down to sb.

Pretty in Pink

after taking a new 9-6 job in late january, i've had a difficult time finding a good time frame to capture my outfits. i truly apologize to all my readers for the month long hiatus. i have been working on starting my new personal shopping/stylist services and im super excited to get that rolling too! if you're interested, feel free to contact me via email or if you want to get  more information, click on the personal shopping tab located on the top right hand corner of the blog.

now, enough about myself, here is my brand spanking new outfit. it's spring time ...aka baby season! so this past weekend, i lended a hand to help plan & decorate a friends baby shower. and yes, you guessed it...ITS A GIRL! thus why i chose to be bright hot pink for that day.

i brought out my feminine side by pairing my forever 21 crochet/lace inspired ivory shorts belted with a hot pink blouse i purchased from a little boutique called Ambiance in the Haight in SF. to match the brown braided waist belt, i paired my ecote cognac ankle booties so the brown accents wouldnt be left alone. for this outfit, i wanted to make it bold but not overwhelming. so, to accomplish that mission, i added gold accessories to not only help keep the femininity, but keep the bold colors from being overwhelming as well.

happy monday everyone! i guess i got my wish for having beautiful weather this past weekend. super warm with a light cool breeze is great kick start to spring 2013. to help celebrate the fresh spring temperatures, i went out to half moon bay, ca to visit the views of the beach from the Ritz Carlton Hotel that is located in the beach town.

hoping that the day would never end, i am wearing my BARIII bat winged cardigan with my forever 21 peach floral detail blouse and mix of layered necklaces. for the bottom, i kept it simple. cuffing my light wash denim skinnys (that i got half off from forever 2)1 and lucky brand opened toe flats.

the weather has been so weird lately. for almost a whole week, there has been amazing summer weather and now we're going into rain. what gives? but remember on my last post i was longing for that warm weather? well now i miss it and i have decided to post my outfit from when i was enjoying that short but sweet warm weather earlier this week. 

my outfit consists of my red & white sweetheart dress (barIII) paired with my steve madden combat boots and utility jacket (sashimi).
